Empty Your Heart Of Its Mortal Dream

Continuing the much needed coverage of Cisco’s latest, Jeff VanderMeer has posted some thoughts on his own blog, as well as a post on Omnivoracious, both well worth checking out.

While it is never going to have the mainstream appeal to compete for a Nebula or a Hugo, I think it certainly should be considered for the World Fantasy Award, but it is going to need some coverage if it is to get any traction. The alternative is for me to bombard the judges’ mailboxes with copies of the novel, but I’d probably get in trouble for that.
